Sheraden Man Convicted Of Murder

A Sheraden man has been convicted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this year.

26-year-old Antonio Stamps was arrested following the shooting of Andrew Smith.  Smith was shot May 11, 2012 along Crucible Street in Sheraden in a dispute over money.  Smith initially survived the shooting but died June 8, 2012.

Following a jury trial this week before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Joe Williams, Stamps was convicted of first degree murder and a firearms violation.  A sentencing date has not been set.
